Accounting Manager

Financial Accounting & ReportingLead and supervise all accounting functions and daily financial operations.Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.Ensure compliance with Egyptian Accounting Standards and company policies.Prepare management reports and financial analysis for senior leadership.General Ledger & Financial ControlOversee general ledger integrity and chart of accounts management.Monitor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Establish and maintain effective internal control systems.Ensure proper segregation of duties and financial governance.Monitor financial risks and recommend corrective actions.Taxation & ComplianceManage all tax filings and compliance requirements.Oversee:VAT ReturnsWithholding TaxPayroll TaxCorporate Income TaxCoordinate with external tax consultants and auditors.Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations.Prepare documentation required for tax inspections and audits.Cost Accounting & Manufacturing FinanceOversee product costing and manufacturing cost analysis.Monitor raw material consumption, production costs, and inventory valuation.Analyze variances between actual and standard costs.Support pricing decisions through accurate cost reporting.Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to improve profitability.Accounts Payable & ReceivableSupervise accounts payable and receivable functions.Monitor customer collections and supplier payments.Ensure proper aging analysis and cash flow management.Review credit terms and customer account balances.Minimize overdue receivables and financial exposure.Treasury & Cash ManagementManage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.Monitor banking relationships and financing facilities.Oversee payment scheduling and fund allocation.Ensure efficient working capital management.Review and approve bank reconciliations.Budgeting & Financial PlanningLead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.Monitor budget performance and financial targets.Prepare variance analysis and financial performance reports.Support strategic planning and business expansion initiatives.Audit ManagementCoordinate external and internal audits.Ensure audit readiness throughout the year.Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate accounting documentation and records.Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.Establish departmental objectives and performance KPIs.Ensure continuous improvement of accounting processes.Promote accountability, accuracy, and professional development within the department.

EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.CPA, CMA, ACCA, DipIFR, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.ExperienceMinimum 7 years of accounting experience.Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.Previous experience in:Food ManufacturingFMCGBakery or Central Kitchen OperationsDistribution and Wholesale BusinessesExport OperationsTechnical KnowledgeStrong knowledge of:Financial ReportingCost AccountingTaxationBudgeting & ForecastingTreasury ManagementInventory AccountingInternal ControlsThorough understanding of Egyptian tax regulations and statutory requirements.Experience dealing with external auditors and tax authorities.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong financial planning and reporting capabilities.Ability to meet strict deadlines.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong business and commercial acumen.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
