Job Description

Job TitleAutomation Engineer – GRMS

Job SummaryFiberCom is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) for hotels.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, configuring, commissioning, testing, and supporting GRMS solutions while working closely with project teams to deliver high-quality hospitality automation projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, program, and commission GRMS solutions for hospitality projects.Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Integrate GRMS with other hotel systems such as BMS, PMS, HVAC, Lighting Control, and Access Control.Prepare technical documentation, reports, and as-built drawings.Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients during project execution.Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and after project handover.Conduct site surveys and ensure projects are delivered according to specifications and timelines.Train end users and hotel staff on system operation when required.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.2–5+ years of hands-on experience in GRMS projects (hotel experience is highly preferred).Experience with hotel automation systems and system integration.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to read electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical documentation.Good knowledge of networking fundamentals and IP-based systems.Good communication skills in English.Willingness to travel frequently for projects inside and outside Egypt.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.Strong teamwork, commitment, and customer-oriented attitude.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with Legrand GRMS solutions is a strong advantage.Experience in hotel projects and hospitality technology.Knowledge of KNX is preferred.Experience with PMS/BMS integrations.
