Cost Accountant

Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.Analyze production costs, variances, and profitability to provide actionable insights for management decision-making.Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.Monitor and review inventory transactions, reconciliations, and valuations to maintain data integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting and inventory management.Conduct regular audits of cost records and systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested by management.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 1 year and up to 7 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methodologies, and best practices.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
