Cost Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified Cost Accountant with solid experience in construction activities to join our team in Alexandria.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, preparing cost reports, analyzing expenses, and supporting financial reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain project cost sheets for various construction activitiesMonitor actual costs versus budget and identify variancesAnalyze material labor subcontractor and overhead costsPrepare regular cost reports for management reviewSupport monthly financial closing and reporting processesCoordinate with project managers and procurement teams regarding cost controlEnsure accurate recording of project related financial transactionsAssist in improving costing systems and internal controlsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Minimum 4 years of experience in Cost Accounting within construction companiesStrong background in different construction fields and activitiesProven experience in preparing cost statements and cost analysis reportsGood knowledge of financial reports and accounting principlesExcellent command of Microsoft Office especially ExcelStrong analytical and communication skillsAlexandria residents are a must
