Cost Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

Build, configure, and maintain the company's cost accounting framework within the Odoo ERP system to optimize automated manufacturing tracking.

Establish, review, and continuously update Standard Cost systems and comprehensive Cost Sheets for all product lines.

Audit and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and Routing structures in close coordination with the production team to ensure accurate material and labor allocations.

Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances monthly (material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption), identifying root causes of inefficiencies.

Lead cross-functional cost-reduction campaigns across the plant floor, identifying waste, lowering scrap/scrap rates, and enhancing overall profitability.

Oversee the Stock Controller Accountant to ensure strict inventory valuations, accurate stock counts, and alignment between physical inventory and ERP data.

Supervise the production accountant manager and the plant-floor production controllers to ensure all daily/weekly shop-floor logs, machinery run-times, and manufacturing orders are closed accurately.

Prepare and present detailed monthly cost, margin, and variance reports directly to the plant manager and executive management.

Build, linking financial findings to operational decision-making.

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, majoring in Accounting. 10 years of progressive experience in cost accounting and finance, including a minimum of 5 years' experience working inside manufacturing plants.

Direct background in Carpet manufacturing or Textile production ecosystems.

Advanced professional certifications such as CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or an MBA in finance are highly preferred.

Proven track record of successfully migrating or building a manufacturing cost module during an ERP implementation.

Deep hands-on proficiency with Odoo ERP (highly preferred) or systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Mastery of Standard Costing, Variance Analysis, Activity-Based Costing (ABC), and manufacturing inventory valuation.

Advanced proficiency in Power BI for building real-time cost dashboards and advanced MS Excel capabilities.

Solid command over manufacturing structures, specifically BOM (Bill of Materials), Routing, work centers, and machine capacity tracking.
