Deputy Head of Inclusion
Job Description
Role Purpose:The Deputy Head of Inclusion supports the Head of Inclusion in creating and maintaining an inclusive learning environment for all students.
The role helps oversee Additional Educational Needs (AEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), safeguarding, and school counseling services.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Leadership & StrategySupport the Head of Inclusion in developing and implementing inclusion policies and practices.Help align inclusion strategies with the school's overall goals.
2.
Team Management & CollaborationWork closely with AEN, EAL, Safeguarding, and School Counselor teams.Assist with staff performance reviews and professional development.
3.
Inclusive Education PlanningContribute to creating and implementing inclusive education plans.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support students with diverse learning needs.
4.
SafeguardingSupport safeguarding initiatives and ensure compliance with school policies.Help train and guide staff to maintain a safe learning environment.
5.
Communication & Parent PartnershipPromote inclusive practices across the school.Maintain strong communication with parents and encourage their involvement in students' education.
6.
Data Analysis & ReportingUse data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion programs.Prepare reports to support decision-making and demonstrate impact.
7.
Community EngagementBuild relationships with external organizations and agencies that support students with additional needs.Represent the school at relevant inclusion-related events and conferences.
Required Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Education or a related field.
Fluent English Communication (Native-Level Proficiency)Experience in inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.Experience contributing to team management and inclusion initiatives.Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
