Head of Physical Education Department (HOD)

The Head of Physical Education is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and delivery of the school’s physical education and sports programs.

This includes supervising PE staff, enhancing student participation in sports, and ensuring alignment with the school’s overall educational goals.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the PE department and its staff across all grade levels.Design and implement a progressive PE curriculum that promotes health, fitness, and teamwork.Organize sports events, competitions, and extracurricular athletic programs.Evaluate and monitor the performance of PE teachers and support their professional development.Ensure the safety and proper use of sports facilities and equipment.Promote inclusive practices that encourage participation from all students.Collaborate with academic staff to integrate physical education with the wider curriculum.Provide regular reports on student performance and department progress to school leadership.Foster partnerships with external sports organizations and coaches when needed.-

Qualifications & Skills:-Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (essential).A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory or leadership role within a school setting.Proven ability to manage a team, design effective physical education programs, and support overall student development through sports and wellness initiatives.-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.A deep commitment to student development, health, and wellness.Fluency in English is preferred
