IT Specialist
Job Description
User Support: Diagnose and resolve daily software, OS (Windows 10/11), and application issues for site engineers and staff.Hardware Troubleshooting: Repair and maintain laptops, desktops, screens, and internal computer components.Printer & Plotter Support: Install, configure, and fix paper jams or connectivity issues for office printers and engineering Plotters.Software Deployment: Install and update essential software (MS Office 365, AutoCAD viewers, PDF tools, and corporate apps).Account Management: Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions via Active Directory or Office 365 Admin.Device Setup: Format, configure, and prepare new laptops/desktops for onboarded site employees.Peripheral Troubleshooting: Fix connection and configuration issues for site biometric (fingerprint) machines and local IP cameras.
Education: Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or any relevant technical field.Certifications: CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Support Associate (MD-102 / Endpoint Administrator) is highly preferred.Experience: 3 years in IT Technical Support / Helpdesk (Experience in a construction/field environment is a plus).OS & Software: Strong expertise in Windows OS troubleshooting, Outlook/Office 365, and basic engineering software installation.Hardware Skills: Excellent skills in assembling, disassembling, and fixing PC/Laptop hardware components.Peripherals: Proven experience in dealing with heavy-duty printers and scanners.Site Stamina: Ready to work in a dynamic, active construction site environment.Soft Skills: Patient, excellent communication skills with users, and fast at resolving technical complaints.
