Junior Accountant

Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support business planning.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements as required.Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.Support the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or multi-location environment.Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Demonstrated experience with month-end and year-end close processes.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and remotely, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience supporting audits and preparing financial statements.
