Lab Operation specialist

The Lab Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily operational activities of the laboratory to ensure efficiency, compliance with regulatory standards, and high-quality service delivery.

The role ensures smooth workflow between technical teams, administration, quality control, and management while maintaining laboratory safety, documentation accuracy, and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization.Monitor laboratory processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.Manage laboratory documentation, reports, and operational records.Support procurement and inventory management of laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.Ensure proper maintenance and calibration schedules for laboratory instruments and equipment.Assist in implementing and maintaining quality management systems within the laboratory.Coordinate with microbiologists, technicians, and quality control teams to maintain operational efficiency.Track laboratory performance indicators and prepare operational reports for management.Support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.Ensure adherence to biosafety, hygiene, and laboratory safety protocols.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Administration science, agriculture, or a related scientific field.Experience1-3 years of experience in laboratory operations, laboratory administration, or quality control within a food, pharmaceutical, or research laboratory.Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of laboratory workflow and operational procedures.Knowledge of laboratory quality standards and regulatory requirements.Excellent organizational and documentation skills.Ability to coordinate between multiple departments and teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and reporting skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
