Job Description
Procurement Ownership: Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and tendering to final delivery, ensuring operational continuity for vessel construction and repairs.Specialized Sourcing: Source critical marine equipment (propulsion, winches, deck components) in coordination with technical teams, ensuring compliance with Classification Society standards (ABS, DNV, etc.).ERP & Financial Integrity: Ensure 100% compliance with ERP systems for all POs and records, while coordinating favorable payment terms and monitoring project budgets.Logistics & Regulatory Oversight: Manage freight, shipping, and customs clearance while ensuring strict adherence to import/export and maritime regulations.Supplier Strategy: Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with global maritime OEMs and suppliers.Performance Management: Track and report on key KPIs, focusing on cost variance, delivery timelines, and supplier reliability.

EducationDegree: Bachelor’s degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related technical field.

Professional ExperienceYears of Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of progressive procurement experience.Industry Focus: Proven track record in Marine, Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, Offshore Engineering, or Heavy Marine Infrastructure.

Core Competencies & Technical SkillsTechnical Expertise: Strong knowledge of shipyard workflows, marine engineering specifications, and IACS Classification Society documentation/certification requirements (ABS, DNV, BV, etc.).Supply Chain Acumen: Proficiency in international shipping logistics, freight management, and customs clearance procedures for heavy technical machinery.ERP Proficiency: Mandatory hands-on experience in managing enterprise-wide procurement, milestone tracking, and inventory control within structured ERP systems.Commercial & Financial Skills: Advanced capability in supplier negotiation, contract management, cash flow tracking, and project cost control.
