Materials Planning & Support Analyst

Operational KPI Analysis: Analyze core metrics such as Stock Cover (for consumables/spare parts), Service Levels for internal departments, and Consumption Forecast Accuracy.Inventory Optimization: Use data to determine safety stock levels for critical materials (e.g., additives, packaging materials, industrial gases) to avoid operational downtime.Usage Forecasting: Analyze historical consumption patterns of supporting materials to predict future needs and support better procurement decisions.Operational Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between Commercial, Procurement, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to resolve material availability issues.Conflict Resolution: Work with the maintenance and operations teams to prioritize the procurement of urgent spares or consumables that impact plant reliability.Supplier Coordination: Support procurement by providing data on lead times and supplier performance to improve the overall reliability of the supply chain.Process Enhancement: Support improvements in the material requisition process and system enhancements within the ERP to automate replenishment.AI & Digital Planning: Participate in initiatives to use AI/Digital tools for predictive maintenance planning and automated inventory tracking.Waste Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory or obsolete stock through better data visibility and process auditing.Supply Risk Reporting: Prepare updates for management on supply risks, potential material shortages, and the status of critical industrial inventory.Exception Reporting: Maintain reports that highlight deviations from standard consumption rates or stock-out risks for supporting materials.Material Readiness: Ensure all materials required for planned maintenance (turnarounds) or daily operations are staged and ready.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business with a focus on Supply Chain3–15 years in material planning or supply chain planningAdvanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query) and Data Visualization (Power BI/Tableau) to track material flows.Experience with ERP Material Management (MM) modules (e.g., SAP or Oracle).Industrial Knowledge: Familiarity with the technical materials used in petrochemical operations (valves, gaskets, additives, specialized packaging).Soft Skills: Strong coordination skills to manage the needs of diverse departments like Maintenance, Production, and Finance.The position will be based in Port Said, Egypt
