Mechanical Site Engineer – WTP & STP
Job Description
Site ExecutionSupervise installation of mechanical equipment including pumps, blowers, agitators, screens, pipelines, valves, and related systems for WTP/STP projects.Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, BOQs, method statements, and project schedules.Coordinate daily site activities with civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams.Quality & ComplianceInspect mechanical works to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.Identify and rectify site issues, defects, and non-conformances.Coordination & ReportingLiaise with contractors, vendors, and suppliers for materials and equipment.Maintain daily progress reports, site records, and material tracking.Support preparation of as-built drawings and commissioning documentation.Health & SafetyEnsure adherence to site safety rules, toolbox talks, and safe work practices.Report unsafe conditions and support corrective actions.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.1-3 years of experience in mechanical site engineering, preferably in water or sewage treatment projects.Strong understanding of WTP and STP processes, equipment, and technologies.Experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of pumps, valves, piping, and related mechanical systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD).Willingness to work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
