Mechanical Technical Office Engineer- Sheet Metal
Job Description
Prepare technical drawings, layouts, and specifications for products, particularly cable tray and support systems.
Review and interpret project contracts, technical documents, and client requirements to ensure accurate quotations and proposals.Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely quote and customer request are met.Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOM), material take-offs, and material estimates for sheet metal projects.Provide technical support and solutions to site teams and address any design-related issues during project execution.Assist in the preparation and submission of technical submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.Liaise with suppliers and vendors to evaluate material specifications and ensure the procurement of high-quality components.Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.3 to 6 years of experience in a technical office or engineering role, preferably within the sheet metal or electro-mechanical sector.Proven experience in preparing technical drawings, shop drawings, and documentation for sheet metal products.Strong knowledge of cable tray and ladder systems manufacturing and installation processes.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software for 2D and 3D modeling.Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
