Job Vacancy – MEP Design ManagerA leading Gulf-based engineering consultancy is seeking to hire an experienced MEP Design Manager for its Alexandria branch, to work on major projects across Saudi Arabia and the GCC.

The role requires a strategic leader with a comprehensive understanding of both design and execution to ensure the highest standards of quality.

ResponsibilitiesComprehensive Technical Review: Review and approve designs across all MEP disciplines (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, Low Current), and oversee the preparation of specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.Engineering Coordination: Lead multidisciplinary coordination to eliminate clashes and ensure seamless integration during both design and construction phases.Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), GCC regulations, and relevant international standards.Department Management: Plan, prioritize, and allocate tasks effectively to meet project timelines.Performance Management: Monitor team performance, provide technical guidance, and conduct regular evaluations to enhance overall team efficiency.

Minimum 20 years of experience in MEP design, with proven experience in Saudi Arabia and/or GCC projects.Preferably with hands-on construction (site) experience.Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards: SBC, Qatar codes, NFPA, ASHRAE, NEC.Proven ability in multidisciplinary coordination.Strong leadership and managerial skills.High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving capabilities.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a professional environment.Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
