MEP Site Project Manager (HVAC)

Job Purpose:To manage and execute field-erected cooling tower projects from design review to installation, testing, and commissioning — ensuring all activities comply with design specs, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities:1️⃣ Project Planning & CoordinationReview project scope, technical specs, and client requirements.Prepare detailed project schedules, resource plans, and erection sequences.Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams for timely delivery of materials and drawings.Attend kickoff and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors.2️⃣ Engineering & Technical SupportReview and verify cooling tower arrangement drawings, structural details, and layouts.Ensure compliance with CTI, ASME, ASTM, and local codes.Provide technical clarifications during erection and commissioning.Manage documents: drawings, method statements, ITPs, and as-built documentation.3️⃣ Site SupervisionOversee erection, alignment, and installation of cooling tower components.Monitor progress for safety, quality, and design compliance.Supervise subcontractors and labor for efficient resource use.Troubleshoot and propose corrective actions.4️⃣ Quality Assurance & SafetyImplement and monitor quality control per company and client standards.Conduct inspections with QA/QC engineers and resolve NCRs.Ensure compliance with HSE policies and hold toolbox meetings regularly.5️⃣ Commissioning & HandoverSupport testing, alignment checks, and equipment verification.Conduct tower performance testing and assist in CTI certification if required.Prepare final reports, as-built drawings, and O&M manuals.Participate in client training and project handover.

Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of cooling tower design and erection methods.Ability to interpret engineering drawings (structural, mechanical, civil).Familiar with MS Project or Primavera.Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.Solid understanding of safety and quality systems.Fluent in English (technical writing & speaking).

Qualifications:B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.7-10 years in cooling tower projects (field-erected preferred).Experience with TRUWATER is a plus.PMP or equivalent certification desirable.
