Odoo ERP Developer

2.1 Custom Development

• Design, build, and maintain custom Odoo modules using Python and Odoo's ORMframework
• Extend or override existing Odoo modules using inheritance patterns (classical, prototype,delegation)
• Develop custom reports using QWeb (PDF and HTML) and configure BI views anddashboards
• Build automated actions, scheduled jobs (cron), and server-side business logic
• Implement custom wizards, transient models, and multi-step workflows

2.2 Integration and API Development

• Design and implement REST API integrations between Odoo and external systems (MES,logistics platforms, third-party services)
• Use Odoo's XML-RPC and JSON-RPC interfaces for external connectivity
• Develop and maintain integration with Egypt Tax Authority (ETA) e-invoicing APIs
• Build webhook handlers and event-driven automation where required
• Ensure data integrity and error handling in all integration workflows

2.3 Technical Configuration and Maintenance

• Manage Odoo server configuration, module upgrades, and version migrations
• Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL database performance, including query analysis andindexing
• Write and maintain deployment scripts, Docker configurations, and CI/CD pipelines whereapplicable
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to Odoo community coding standards
• Support UAT by resolving technical defects and regression issues

2.4 Documentation and Communication

• Produce clear technical specifications, module documentation, and integration guideswritten in English
• Communicate technical constraints and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Maintain a change log and versioning discipline for all custom code in Git
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and technical review sessions

Required Qualifications and Experience

3.1 Technical Skills

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Odoo development experience (versions 16 through 19preferred)
• Strong Python proficiency: OOP, decorators, generators, async patterns, and clean codepractices
• Deep knowledge of Odoo ORM: models, fields, recordsets, constraints, [removed], compute,depends
• Experience with Odoo 19 framework changes and new API patterns is a strong advantage
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL: schema design, query optimization, and raw SQL whenneeded
• Proficiency in Odoo frontend technologies: OWL (Odoo Web Library), JavaScript ES6+,XML QWeb templates
• Experience with Git version control and branching strategies (GitFlow or similar)
• Familiarity with Linux server administration (Ubuntu), Docker, and basic DevOps practices
• Understanding of REST API design principles and experience with external API integrations
• Knowledge of ETA e-invoicing technical specifications is a significant advantage

3.2 Professional Experience

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technicaldiscipline
• At least two completed Odoo development projects from specification through deployment
• Demonstrated experience contributing to or maintaining a multi-module Odoo codebase
• Experience with Odoo Enterprise Edition and its proprietary module structure is preferred
• Prior exposure to manufacturing or logistics ERP environments is an advantage

3.3 Language Requirements

• Professional written English is mandatory.

All technical documentation, code comments,commit messages, and formal communications must be in English

• Spoken English proficiency sufficient for clear participation in technical meetings andstakeholder discussions
• Arabic (Egyptian dialect) is a strong advantage for internal team communication
