QA Manager (Background Foods)

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance systems and procedures in line with international food safety standards.Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to guarantee compliance with quality specifications.Coordinate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Manage internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for ISO, HACCP, and other certification processes.Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.Analyze quality data and generate reports for senior management, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.Ensure all documentation related to quality assurance is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.Train staff on quality standards, food safety protocols, and hygiene practices.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to enhance quality systems.

Minimum of 7 years experience as Manager in quality assurance within the food industry, preferably in confectionery or FMCG sectors.Proven track record of managing quality assurance teams and systems in a manufacturing environment.In-depth knowledge of ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, and other relevant food safety standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive cross-functional collaboration.Experience with internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-up.Ability to develop and deliver training on quality and food safety topics.Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.Proficiency in MS Office and quality management software.Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
