Job Description
- We are looking for a highly experienced and results-drivenReady-Mix Concrete Plant Managerto lead the operations of a major Ready-Mix Concrete Plant inHurghada.
- The ideal candidate will have15+ years of solid experience in the Ready-Mix Concrete industry, with a strong track record in plant management, production, quality control, fleet coordination, maintenance, cost optimization, and team leadership.
- Experience with leading Ready-Mix companies such asLafarge, Holcim, Heidelberg Materials, or other major Ready-Mix Concrete companiesis highly preferred.
- This is a key leadership position for an experienced professional who can ensuresafe, efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality plant operationswhile maintaining excellent service levels for major construction projects and clients.
- Take full responsibility for theoverall operation and performance of the Ready-Mix Concrete Plant.
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities based on project requirements and customer demand.
- Ensure maximum plant utilization, production efficiency, and operational continuity.
- Monitor production capacity and ensure timely concrete delivery to projects.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all concrete production complies with approvedmix designs, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate closely with theQuality Control and Laboratory teamsto maintain consistent concrete quality.
- Monitor production performance, concrete consumption, material usage, and production losses.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and availability of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and other raw materials.
- Supervise the operation and availability ofTransit Mixers, Concrete Pumps, Batching Plants, Loaders, and related equipment.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to ensure effectivepreventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Minimize equipment breakdowns and operational downtime.
- Monitor fleet utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall equipment efficiency.
- Monitor plant operating costs and implement initiatives toreduce costs and minimize waste.
- Track key operational KPIs and take corrective actions when required.
- Prepare and analyze periodic reports coveringproduction, quality, maintenance, fleet, costs, productivity, and plant performance.
- Contribute to improving plant profitability and overall business performance.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team ofEngineers, Technicians, Plant Operators, Drivers, and Support Staff.
- Set clear performance objectives and ensure effective workforce utilization.
- Develop and motivate team members and ensure proper training and competency development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict implementation ofHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE)policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment across all plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, safety, and operational regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Coordinate effectively withProject Management, Site Operations, Sales, Logistics, Procurement, Quality Control, and Maintenanceteams.
- Ensure concrete orders are produced and delivered according to agreed schedules.
- Support the resolution of customer and project-related operational issues.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service reliability.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering;
Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum15 years of relevant experiencein the Ready-Mix Concrete industry.
- Strong experience inReady-Mix Plant Management and Operations.
- Previous experience withmajor Ready-Mix Concrete companiessuch as Lafarge, Holcim, Heidelberg Materials, or equivalent leading organizations is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managinglarge production operations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge ofconcrete production, mix designs, quality standards, plant equipment, and fleet operations.
- Strong understanding ofmaintenance, cost control, productivity improvement, and operational KPIs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong decision-making ability and the capability to work effectively under pressure.
- Good command ofMicrosoft Officeand relevant plant/ERP management systems.
- Experience with major Ready-Mix companies is highly preferred
