Senior Aluminum Technical Office Engineer

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Façade Technical Office Engineer located in Cairo, Egypt.

The Senior Façade Technical Office Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as coordinating shop drawings, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), conducting civil and electrical engineering assessments, and overseeing quantity surveying processes.

Job description / Role EmploymentReview client / consultant inputs, identify the scope of works and design requirements.Designing and creating shop drawings for the façade of buildings, including cladding and glazing.Reviews preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications and cost estimates related to the project.Propose suitable aluminum systems/designs in line with customer requirements, project specifications and design intent.Ensure that the site is supplied with all documentation and materials needed to carry out the works.Prepare & deliver design proposals, cutting lists, fabrication and erection drawings.The Façade Designer will work closely with other members of the design and engineering teams to ensure that all designs are accurate and meet the specific project requirements.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil with GPA good at least.Engineering 3-6 years relevant experience within the aluminum and steel façade industry.Strong knowledge and experience in Façade Design, Façade systems.

Organized and structured approach to workload & management of multiple inquiriesExperience using AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3-D modeling toolsExcellent technical and mathematical skills.Experience in Cladding and Glazing systems.LOGIKAL experience is a plus.Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and IFC drawings & blueprintsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working on mega projects is a plus.
