Senior Cost Accountant

Role DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in Sadat City.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the food manufacturing industry and will play a key role in cost control, inventory management, production costing, and financial analysis.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost reports, performing variance analysis, managing financial transactions, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze cost reports, profitability reports, and financial statements.Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, and manufacturing variances.Perform detailed variance analysis for materials, labor, and overhead costs.Manage inventory control processes and stock valuation.Review and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and production orders.Record and review journal entries and costing-related financial transactions.Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.Collaborate with production, warehouse, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost accuracy and operational efficiency.Develop and improve costing systems, reporting procedures, and internal controls.Provide management with accurate financial and operational insights to support decision-making.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Accounting.Strong proficiency in Cost Accounting and advanced understanding of cost control practices.Strong skills in preparing and analyzing financial statements.Solid experience with journal entries, financial transactions, and inventory accounting.Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems.High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Previous experience in manufacturing or food industry is highly preferred.Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.CMA certification is considered a plus.
