Job Description

  • Design and implement data models within data lakehouse architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
  • Design data warehouse models using dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema) and apply SCD mechanisms.
  • Design Apache Iceberg tables, including schema evolution, partitioning, and table maintenance.
  • Build and maintain data models using data modeling tools such as erwin Data Modeler and ER/Studio.
  • Work with Apache Parquet, object storage (MinIO), and Data Lakehouse storage architecture.
  • Use SQL query engines such as Trino and Spark SQL to support data modeling work.
  • Work with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Ensure data models comply with local data regulations, e-government requirements, and applicable data protection and privacy regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 5 years or more in data modeling, data architecture, or related data engineering roles.
  • 3 years or more of experience working on government or public sector projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • A deep understanding of local data regulations, e-government requirements, and applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Experience using data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or similar tools.
  • Experience designing and implementing data models within data lakehouse architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
  • Experience designing data warehouse models using dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake Schema) and an understanding of SCD mechanisms.
  • Good understanding of Apache Iceberg, including table design, schema evolution, partitioning, and table maintenance considerations.
  • Knowledge of Apache Parquet, object storage, and Data Lakehouse storage architecture.
