Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Design & Development: Create, test, and implement relational database models, schemas, tables, and scripts (TSQL).Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor system performance, write, tune, and optimize complex queries and execution plans for efficiency.Security & Integrity: Implement security measures (permissions, encryption) to protect data and maintain data integrity.Maintenance & Operations: Perform backups, recovery, database patches, upgrades, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks.Collaboration: Work with software developers to optimize application database interactions and provide technical support.Disaster recovery plan: Design and deploy disaster recovery plans , ensure compliance to recovery point objective (RPO) and Recovery time objective (RTO) targets.

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of RDBMS (mainly MS SQL Server) and SQL.Development Skills: Experience with database programming (Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views) and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities for performance issues.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, often with 3-5+ years of experience.
