Senior PL/FF Design Engineer
Job Description
Role DescriptionThe Senior PL/FF Design Engineer is responsible for developing high-quality engineering designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed design drawings, performing design calculations, and utilizing Revit MEP as a primary tool for project execution.
This role involves creating specialized plumbing and firefighting designs for large-scale projects in KSA, requiring deep familiarity with both international and Saudi-specific regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering Delivery: Develop plumbing and firefighting system designs, including domestic water supply, drainage, stormwater, and fire protection.KSA Project Execution: Ensure all designs comply with SBC (Saudi Building Code) regulations, as well as IPC and NFPA standards.Technical Calculations: Perform pipe sizing and system layouts using Elite Fire and relevant PL/FF design software.BIM Coordination: Develop and maintain professional-grade Revit MEP models to support coordinated project delivery.Shop Drawing Oversight: Leverage a strong background in shop drawings and contractor scope to ensure designs are practical and constructible.Multidisciplinary Coordination: Lead technical discussions with discipline leads and stakeholders to maintain project milestones.
Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: BSc. in Mechanical Power Engineering from a reputable university.Experience: 8–11 years of experience in consulting offices (specifically graduated between 2015 and 2018).Project History: Proven track record in the design of large-scale KSA projects.Software Proficiency:
- Revit MEP Professional is a MUST.Expert user of AutoCAD, Elite Fire, and specialized PL/FF software.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of SBC, NFPA, and IPC codes.Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving, professional accountability, and very good command of written and spoken English.
