Job Description
- Own the system architecture, including module boundaries, data models, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Collaborate with the Product and Business Analysis team to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and address technical risks before development.
- Evaluate technical options and communicate their impact on delivery time, cost, performance, and maintainability.
- Partner with the Technical Lead to turn architectural decisions into practical implementation plans.
- Stay actively involved in code reviews, technical problem-solving, and prototypes that validate critical design decisions.
- Design for security, access control, tenant isolation, reliability, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
- Address POS requirements such as multi-branch operations, device integrations, offline functionality, and data synchronization.
- Document architectural decisions and their rationale, mentor engineers, and support knowledge sharing across the team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong software engineering experience, including direct responsibility for designing systems successfully deployed to production.
- Practical experience with ERP, POS, or complex business applications involving finance, inventory, sales, or purchasing.
- Strong expertise in database design, API development, and system integration.
- Experience designing SaaS platforms and multi-tenant systems.
- Current, hands-on coding skills and the ability to investigate performance, reliability, and data consistency issues.
- Sound judgment in balancing near-term delivery with future growth.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.
- Experience mentoring developers and collaborating with Technical Leads.
- Multi-branch POS systems, offline operations, and synchronization.
- Financial transactions and business-critical workflows.
- Integrating with or modernizing legacy systems.
- Supporting products from initial development through launch and ongoing operation.
