Senior Technical Business Analyst

We’re Hiring | Senior Technical Business Analyst – Travel Tech, API Connectivity & AIAt BEDINROOM, we are building a cloud-native hotel distribution and booking platform designed for scale, intelligence, and real travel-tech complexity.This is not a traditional Business Analyst role.We are looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst who can stand between business ambition and technical reality, translating complex hotel distribution, booking, API, and AI requirements into clear product and engineering specifications.The role will support the foundation stage of our platform, including hotel booking flows, supplier connectivity, room mapping, B2B/B2C journeys, affiliate tracking, and AI-powered travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities:Define product and technical requirements for hotel booking, distribution, and management workflowsAnalyze hotel supplier APIs, channel manager integrations, OTA flows, and booking lifecycle logicCreate clear BRDs, PRDs, user stories, process maps, sequence diagrams, and API requirement documentsWork with stakeholders, architects, and future engineering teams to define scalable system logicSupport the design of AI-powered features including semantic search, RAG flows, AI booking agents, and automated room/content mappingDocument JSON/XML mapping requirements for availability, rates, inventory, bookings, cancellations, and modificationsHelp design booking consistency flows including soft holds, payment confirmation, cancellation rules, idempotency, and double-booking preventionSupport B2B, B2C, white-label, extranet, prepaid wallet, credit limit, invoicing, and affiliate tracking requirementsAssist in defining MVP scope, implementation roadmap, dashboards, reporting, and operational workflows

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Technical Product Owner, or similar roleProven experience in hospitality tech, travel tech, hotel booking platforms, OTAs, channel managers, PMS, CRS, GDS, ERP, or SaaS platformsStrong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile deliveryStrong ability to write technical and functional documentation for engineering teamsHands-on understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML payloads, Postman, Swagger, or similar toolsGood understanding of booking engines, hotel inventory, rate plans, cancellation policies, taxes, payment flows, and customer journeysAbility to work with scalable systems, cloud-based platforms, dashboards, integrations, and reporting structuresStrong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred BackgroundTravel TechHospitality TechHotel Booking EnginesChannel ManagersOTA IntegrationsPMS / CRS / GDS SystemsSaaS PlatformsAPI ConnectivityRoom Mapping / Content DeduplicationAffiliate TrackingAI-powered digital platformsNice to HaveKnowledge of OpenTravel Alliance OTA XML or HTNG standardsExperience with SiteMinder, Cloudbeds, DerbySoft, RateGain, or similar platformsUnderstanding of AI concepts such as LLMs, RAG, semantic search, vector databases, prompt engineering, or AI agentsBasic SQL knowledge and ability to analyze system data or logsExperience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Postman, Swagger, Datadog, Splunk, or similar
