Senior Tender Engineer (Architectural & Mep)

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly qualified Senior Tender Engineer to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the estimation and tendering process for high-end commercial, corporate, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use fit-out projects.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of both Architectural and MEP works, excellent pricing and cost-control capabilities, and extensive experience within the Egyptian construction market.The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with reputable fit-out, design-build, or general contracting companies serving medium to high-end clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesTendering & Cost Estimation Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Fire Fighting, HVAC, and Low Current systems.

Perform quantity take-offs and validate project quantities from drawings and specifications.

Develop detailed pricing sheets, cost breakdowns, and tender summaries.

Analyze project scope, identify risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.

Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

Prepare comprehensive commercial and technical proposals in line with client requirements.Technical Review Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure accurate project understanding.

Review project drawings and identify discrepancies, missing information, and scope gaps.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and tender clarification meetings.

Prepare technical queries (RFIs) and follow up with clients and consultants.Commercial Analysis Evaluate project profitability and recommend appropriate markups and pricing strategies.

Conduct benchmarking and market analysis for material and subcontractor rates.Tender Submission & Management Lead the complete tendering cycle from invitation to final submission.

Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Maintain an organized database of suppliers, subcontractors, historical costs, and project benchmarks.

Prepare tender handover documents for the execution team upon project award.Business Development Support Support negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients when required.

Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating procedures and cost databases.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. 5–7 years of proven experience in tendering and estimation within the Egyptian construction and fit-out market.

Previous experience with reputable fit-out, design & build, or general contracting companies.

Strong knowledge of Architectural Finishes, MEP Systems, Interior Fit-Out, and Construction Methodologies.

Excellent understanding of local material prices, subcontractor markets, and construction costs in Egypt.

Ability to independently price projects from concept stage through detailed tender stage.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity take-off software.

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
