Senior Tender Engineer

Tender Analysis: Perform a comprehensive review of tender documents (RFP/RFQ), including drawings, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and contractual terms.Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.Value Engineering: Identify alternative construction methods or materials that could reduce costs or provide a competitive advantage without compromising quality.Subcontractor Management: Identify, solicit, and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers; negotiate terms to ensure the best commercial value.Technical Proposals: Lead the preparation of technical submittals, including Method Statements, project schedules, and compliance statements.Risk Assessment: Identify potential financial, technical, or legal risks in tender documents and develop mitigation strategies or "contingency" pricing.Final Review: Oversee and audit the work of Junior Tender Engineers to ensure mathematical accuracy and technical compliance.Post-Tender Support: Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits, and handle post-submission clarifications or negotiations with the client.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field3–7 years of experience in tendering or cost estimation in construction projectsStrong knowledge of Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Primavera P6Proven experience in cost estimation, BOQ analysis, and value engineeringAbility to prepare technical proposals, method statements, and project schedulesStrong negotiation skills with subcontractors and suppliersAttention to detail and ability to review tender documents for accuracy and complianceExcellent communication and teamwork skills
