Stock Controller
Job Description
Monitor and maintain accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize stock loss, damage, and obsolescence.Prepare and submit detailed inventory reports, highlighting trends, shortages, and excesses to management.Oversee the organization and labeling of stock within the warehouse to ensure efficient retrieval and storage.Assist in the development and improvement of inventory management systems and processes.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to stock handling.Investigate and resolve inventory variances, reporting findings and corrective actions taken.Support internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory data and documentation.
1-5 years of proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related field.Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in warehouse operations.Willingness to participate in periodic physical inventory counts and audits.
