Technical Installation, Commissioning & Repair Engineer
Job Description
Role PurposeThe Technical Installation, Commissioning & Repair Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting production equipment, ensuring machines are correctly integrated — mechanically, electrically, and via software/control systems — and maintained at optimal uptime.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and commission new production equipment, covering mechanical, electrical, and controls/software integration.Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and wiring.Configure, update, and troubleshoot equipment software/firmware and control parameters.Coordinate with Facilities and suppliers during equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), where applicable.Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and calibration records.Support root cause analysis for equipment downtime and recommend corrective actions.
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (or a related field).7–10 years of experience in industrial equipment installation, commissioning, or repair.Strong hands-on expertise in electrical systems, including power and control circuits, PLC, and HMI.Working knowledge of equipment software/firmware configuration and troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical drawings and manuals.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on-site.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with automated/robotic manufacturing lines.Familiarity with SCADA/MES systems.
