Technical Office Senior Engineer

Evaluate technical offers for distribution and power generation projects, and submit evaluation reports to the Supply Chain Department in line with approved criteria.Participate in committees to establish and update technical approval criteria.Review and approve material submittals for client presentation and acceptance.Provide technical support and consultancy services for both ongoing and upcoming projects.Conduct technical studies and develop solutions for existing and new projects using ETAP or other specialized software.Prepare and assess feasibility studies for new projects.Prepare the required technical specifications when needed to for the MV and LV electrical distribution networks and related equipment.Prepare the required design document, electrical equipment sizing and B.O.Q. for MV and LV distribution networks.Review schematic drawings for MV and LV electrical equipment and systems to verify the compliance with the technical specifications.Receiving and evaluating suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractor’s technical offers and checking compliance with the tender requirements.Respond to pre-bid and post-bid technical clarifications.Prepare the Technical offers to be submitted to the clients with fully Coordination with the concerned departments to assure completeness of the offers.Prepare conceptual and detailed design documents, lists, calculation notes, drawings and detailed material take off required for the project and negotiating the same with all concerned parties.Study and understand of the contract documents (scope of work, drawings, specifications) and generate the necessary BOQ.Preparing shop drawings and as built drawings.Response to RFI raised from sites.

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.To have 4-8 years of experience in substations is a must.The ability to use software:AutoCAD - proficient level is a must.ETAP- proficient level is a must.A strong understanding of electrical theories, codes & standards of electrical systems.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and coordination skills.
