Tender & Cost Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tender and Cost Estimation Engineer to join our team at Modern Interiors.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the preparation of competitive bids and accurate cost estimates across a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and specifications.Prepare accurate and competitive technical and financial proposals.Coordinate with technical, procurement, and planning departments for bid preparation.Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.Analyze market prices and vendor/subcontractor quotations to ensure estimate accuracy.Understand and work with different contract types (Lump Sum, Remeasured, Design & Build).Ensure compliance with tender submission requirements and deadlines.Utilize estimation software , Excel for cost breakdowns.Maintain updated databases for unit prices and suppliers.Assist in post-tender clarifications and cost negotiations when required.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical discipline.3–7 years of experience in tendering and cost estimation within a contracting firm.Proven experience in preparing cost estimates for fit-out, finishing, and construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation tools is preferred.Familiarity with different types of contracts (Lump Sum, Remeasured, Design & Build).Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Fluency in English (written and spoken) an advantage.
