Utilities Engineer
Job Description
Operates, monitors, and maintains all utility systems including boilers, chillers, refrigeration, air compressors, HVAC, and steam systems.Manages water treatment operations (WTP/WWTP) to ensure water quality meets production and regulatory requirements.Oversees power supply systems including generators and transformers, ensuring continuous and stable operation.Plans and executes preventive and corrective maintenance for all utility equipment to minimize downtime.Diagnoses and troubleshoots utility breakdowns and implements timely, effective repairs.Drives energy management and efficiency initiatives to reduce utility consumption and operating costs.Monitors utility KPIs and consumption trends, analyzing data to identify improvement and saving opportunities.Ensures all utility operations comply with food safety, environmental, and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO).Manages spare parts inventory and coordinates with procurement to ensure critical parts availability.Supports utility-related installation, commissioning, and modification projects.Ensures adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during all utility operations.Maintains accurate operation and maintenance records, work orders, and reports in the ERP system.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.3–5 years of utilities experience, preferably in food, pharmaceuticals, or similar manufacturing industries.Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, and water treatment systems.Solid understanding of energy management, preventive maintenance, and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP).Proficiency in ERP systems with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
