Accounting Manager

Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.Develop and maintain financial policies and internal controls.Construction Project AccountingMonitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.Track project revenues and expenses.Manage work-in-progress (WIP) reporting.Review job costing and cost allocation.Ensure accurate accounting for contracts, change orders, subcontractor payments, and project billing.Analyze project financial performance and provide recommendations to management.Budgeting & ForecastingPrepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.Conduct variance analysis between budget and actual performance.Support management with financial planning and decision-making.Compliance & TaxationEnsure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.Manage VAT/GST, corporate tax, and other statutory filings.Coordinate internal and external audits.Maintain compliance with labor laws and other financial regulations.Banking & TreasuryManage banking relationships.Monitor cash flow and financing requirements.Handle bank guarantees, letters of credit, and project-related financial instruments.Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.Assign responsibilities and monitor performance.Improve accounting processes through automation and best practices.Reporting & AnalysisPrepare management reports and financial dashboards.Present financial performance to senior management.Provide profitability and cost analysis for projects and business units.Support strategic decision-making through financial insights.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.MBA (Finance) is preferred.Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA is highly preferred.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of construction accounting and project costing.Expertise in job costing, WIP accounting, and revenue recognition for construction contracts.Excellent knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills.Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or construction-specific ERP solutions).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and presentation skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Preferred Technical KnowledgeConstruction contract accounting.Project cost control.Subcontractor accounting.Fixed asset management.Inventory accounting.Treasury management.Internal controls and risk management.Audit coordination.Tax planning and compliance.Financial modeling and business analysis.
