The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend applications, developing financial modules, integrating APIs, and maintaining secure and efficient database structures.You will work closely with the product and development teams, as well as with the Accounting Professionals to create reliable accounting and business management solutions that support real estate and business operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend Accounting Applications using Laravel and PHPDesign and implement accounting and financial management modulesBuild APIs and integrate third-party services and payment gatewaysDevelop features for invoicing, expenses, commissions, reporting, and transaction trackingOptimize database architecture and application performanceEnsure security, scalability, and data integrity across the platformCollaborate with frontend developers, designers, and project managersTroubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systemsWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Qualifications & SkillsYou must have strong backend accounting experience with an advanced understanding of Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, and Journal Entries.Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel and PHP developmentStrong understanding of accounting systems, bookkeeping workflows, and financial reportingExperience developing modules for invoices, ledgers, reconciliations, taxes, commissions, and expensesProficiency in MySQL, REST APIs, and database optimizationExperience with authentication, security standards, and role managementStrong knowledge of Git/version control workflowsFamiliarity with cloud hosting environments and server managementAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsStrong problem-solving and communication skills in EnglishAvailable to start immediately is an assetPreferred SkillsExperience with CRM or ERP systemsKnowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or accounting API integrationsFamiliarity with Vue.js or React frontend integrationExperience working on SaaS platforms and multi-user systems
