Application Support Engineer

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend application issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Provide second-line support for backend systems, including databases, APIs, and server-side components.

Collaborate with developers to identify root causes of technical problems and implement solutions.

Perform application deployments, upgrades, and patch management.

Document technical issues, solutions, and maintain a knowledge base for recurring problems.

Assist in performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning for backend systems.

Support integration with internal and external systems and ensure data integrity.

Participate in testing new backend features, updates, and releases.

Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Prior Work Experience: 1-3 years of experience in backend application support, preferably in finance or banking sector.

Strong knowledge of backend technologies, databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.), APIs, and server environments.

Experience with troubleshooting backend applications, logs analysis, and performance monitoring tools.

Basic scripting or programming skills (Python, Java, or similar) are a plus.

Knowledge of financial systems or microfinance platforms is advantageous.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
