Assistant Director Of Engineering

Key Responsibilities:Operations & Maintenance:Supervise maintenance and repair of all hotel systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, and fire/life safety systems.Ensure smooth day-to-day operations with minimal downtime.Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs.Team Leadership:Supervise and support engineering staff and technicians.Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.Provide training and technical guidance to the team.Guest Experience:Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and complaints.Ensure issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.Health, Safety & Compliance:Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Maintain fire and life safety systems according to local codes.Promote energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.Financial Management:Assist in preparing and managing the department budget.Monitor expenses and control maintenance costs.Manage external contractors and service agreements.Projects & Renovations:Assist in planning and executing renovation and upgrade projects.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other departments.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).10–20 years of experience in engineering/maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
