Bid & Proposal engineer

Prepare and develop technical and commercial proposals for electrical projects in accordance with client requirements and industry standards.Analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings to determine project scope and identify key deliverables.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary data for accurate bid preparation.Estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for electrical systems, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals.Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and evaluate technical offers.Ensure all proposals are submitted within deadlines and comply with company policies and client specifications.Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical clarifications as required.Support contract negotiations by providing technical input and value engineering solutions.Maintain up-to-date records of bids, proposals, and awarded contracts for future reference and analysis.Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to enhance proposal strategies.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.1 to 3 years of experience in electrical bids, proposals, or tendering within the engineering or construction industry.Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.Proficiency in preparing technical and commercial proposals for electrical projects.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external partners.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant engineering software.Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.Familiarity with local and regional market practices in the infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectors.
