Chief Accounting

We are seeking an experienced and thorough Chief Accountant to join our rapidly growing firm.

As the Chief Accountant, you will demonstrate your exceptional management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of personal and corporate accounting practices, including overseeing payroll and taxes.

Your accuracy, efficiency, and in-depth knowledge of the current tax code will ensure that consistent, accurate accounting services are provided to our clients daily.Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.Conduct necessary training to keep the team’s skills and knowledge up to date.Ensure proper tax interviews with clients and collect necessary documents.Review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy.Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code.Oversee the processing of state and federal payroll taxes.Nurture and build client relationships.Monitor and mentor/train junior staff, clerks, and bookkeepers.Address potential compliance issues proactively.Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations.Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm.Maintain constant communication with the IRS, state agencies, and clients.Implement tax consults and onboarding procedures for new clients.Keep highly organized and updated client files.Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.Report directly to the Operations Manager.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a relevant fieldMust possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standingQuickbooks ProAdvisor certification requiredMinimum [5] years experience in managementMinimum [8] years experience as a CPA in a corporate settingExtensive corporate and personal tax experienceExceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databasesExpertise working with Quickbooks and financial statementsConsistent, accurate, and thorough, with an eye for detailsOutstanding communication skills, written and verbalExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsOutstanding phone and email etiquetteAble to thrive in a deadline-driven environmentAble to motivate the team and lead by example
