Design Manager

Lead and manage the design process from concept development through construction documentation and project execution.Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and infrastructure design disciplines.Manage and review design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.Coordinate with external consultants and ensure timely delivery of all design packages.Obtain and follow up on all required design approvals, permits, and authority submissions with the relevant governmental entities.Review project cost estimates and participate in value engineering initiatives to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and company design standards.Collaborate closely with Technical Office, Construction, Procurement, Commercial, and Project Management teams.Identify design risks and provide effective technical solutions.Participate in feasibility studies, budgeting, and project planning.Lead design coordination meetings and manage design changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering.Master's degree is a plus.PMP certification is an advantage.Minimum 15 years of experience in design management within the real estate development or construction industry.At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.Previous experience working with leading engineering consultancy firms is highly preferred.Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.Strong experience in obtaining design approvals, permits, and authority clearances.Solid background in cost estimation, budgeting, value engineering, and cost optimization.Experience delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, and administrative developments.Excellent knowledge of local building codes, engineering standards, and design best practices.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
