Electrical Engineer - Steel Factory

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on high/medium voltage substations, transformers, and switchgears.Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs).Lead technical teams during emergency electrical failures to restore production rapidly and safely.Enforce strict Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and national electrical safety codes across all plant zones.Design, test, and implement electrical modifications for aging machinery and control panels.Track equipment performance data and maintain accurate electrical schematics using CAD software.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.3+ years of engineering experience specifically within a steel mill, foundry, or heavy manufacturing facility.Direct experience with Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF), Continuous Casting Machines (CCM), or Rolling Mills is highly preferred.Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Ladder, Function Block) and diagnostic software.Strong understanding of industrial power distribution, motor control centers (MCC), and three-phase motor systems.
