Equipment Engineer – Caterpillar Equipment - Yemen

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer with extensive knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) heavy equipment to join our team in Yemen.

The ideal candidate will have 6–10 years of experience in the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of Caterpillar equipment.

The successful candidate must be willing to relocate and work in a dynamic field environment to ensure maximum equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the maintenance, inspection, and performance of Caterpillar heavy equipment.Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and productivity.Conduct root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.Coordinate with maintenance teams, operators, and management to ensure equipment availability.Periodic Maintenance and top and major overhaul of Caterpillar EnginesMaintain accurate equipment records, maintenance logs, and performance reports.Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement requirements.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians and junior engineers.Participate in equipment commissioning, testing, and operational readiness activities.

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.6–10 years of experience managing or maintaining heavy equipment.Proven hands-on experience with Caterpillar (CAT) heavy equipment is mandatory.Specific experience on Cat 3600/ 3500 and C models required.Fully conversant with Caterpillar service systems including SISExperience in equipment diagnostics, reliability engineering, and maintenance planning.Ability to interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and maintenance documentation.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.Willingness to relocate to Yemen.BenefitsCompetitive salary package.Accommodation provided.Round-trip flight tickets provided.
