Estimation Engineer (Steel Fabrication)

SESCO Steel is looking for a motivated Estimation Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, reviewing project requirements, and supporting the tendering process for steel fabrication and structural steel projects.

Key Responsibilities:Review tender documents, drawings, and project specifications.Prepare accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication and structural steel projects.Perform quantity take-offs and material calculations.Prepare BOQs and pricing sheets.Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate project costing.Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.Assist in tender preparation and submission.Maintain cost databases and historical project records.Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities during the estimation process.Ensure all estimates comply with project requirements and company standards.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.1–5 years of experience in estimation, preferably within the steel fabrication or structural steel industry.Good knowledge of steel fabrication processes, materials, and structural steel projects.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimation.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other estimation tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and teamwork abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
