Bella Donna – Egypt

Bella Donna is looking for an experienced Fashion Designer specialized in women’s ready-to-wear who understands our target customer and can turn international fashion trends into commercial designs suitable for the Bella Donna woman.

Main Responsibilities:

• Research and stay continuously updated on international women’s fashion trends.
• Follow leading international fashion brands, runway trends, colors, silhouettes, fabrics, prints, and details.
• Create clear and professional mood boards and storyboards for each collection/theme.
• Develop storyboards where the designs, colors, fabrics, and individual pieces work together as one clear fashion story.
• Design pieces that match and coordinate with each other in terms of style, color, fabric, and overall direction.
• Research and create original designs specifically for Bella Donna’s target customer.
• Produce strong hand sketches that clearly communicate the design.
• Have excellent knowledge of fabrics, including fabric types, characteristics, drape, suitability, and how different fabrics affect the final garment.
• Have basic knowledge of pattern making and garment construction.
• Understand the balance between fashion trends, creativity, wearability, and commercial appeal.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of professional fashion-design experience.
• Must have studied Apparel Fashion Design / Fashion Design.
• Strong professional experience specifically in women’s ready-to-wear fashion.
• Previous experience must be with companies or brands targeting the women’s fashion market.
• Candidates whose experience is mainly in pajamas, lingerie, homewear, or unrelated clothing categories are not suitable for this position.
• Strong knowledge of international women’s fashion brands and current fashion trends.
• Excellent fabric knowledge.
• Strong hand-sketching ability.
• Basic knowledge of pattern making and garment construction.
• Ability to research trends and translate them into designs appropriate for Bella Donna’s customer.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating previous women’s ready-to-wear work is required.

Fashion Design Software – Preferred, Not Required:

Knowledge of professional fashion-design software is an advantage, but not mandatory.

Examples include:

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• CLO 3D or similar fashion-design software

Salary:

Salary will be discussed individually during the interview, based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

We need a designer who understands women’s fashion and the Bella Donna customer — someone who can research international trends, create strong mood boards and storyboards, understand fabrics, sketch confidently, and develop pieces that work together in a clear, coordinated, and commercially attractive fashion story.
