Firefighter Design Engineer

Job SummaryThe Fire Fighting Design Engineer is responsible for the design, review, and coordination of fire suppression systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign fire fighting systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.Prepare hydraulic calculations and system design calculations.Develop fire protection layouts, riser diagrams, and equipment schedules.Prepare technical specifications and material submittals.Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor documents.Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines.Ensure compliance with NFPA 13, NFPA 15, NFPA 11, NFPA 20, NFPA 24, local regulations, and project specifications.Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout project execution.Assist during construction and respond to technical queries when required.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 2 years of experience in fire fighting system design.Good knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 20, NFPA 24, and related fire protection standards.Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is an advantage).Experience with hydraulic calculation software is preferred.Strong technical writing and coordination skills.Good in English.
