General Accountant

Oya Energy is is seeking to hire a General Accountant with strong experience in establishing and managing credit files with banks.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the process of opening and structuring the company’s credit file with banks, including preparation, submission, and follow-up of all required documents.Manage and follow up on bank loans and credit facilities (short, medium, and long-term).Handle direct coordination with banks regarding: Credit facilities and limits Letters of Guarantee (LGs)

Letters of Credit (LCs)

Loan schedules, interest calculations, and repaymentsPrepare and review journal entries and bank reconciliations.Prepare financial statements and periodic management reports.Issue, review, and control customer and supplier invoices, and follow up on collections and payments.Prepare, submit, and follow up on tax reports (VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and corporate income tax).Coordinate with external auditors firms.Ensure compliance with Egyptian accounting and tax regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Minimum of 3 years and up to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience in trading mechanical equipment for the industrial and governmental sectors is highly preferred.Proven hands-on experience in opening credit files and dealing with bank credit committees.Strong understanding of bank requirements, financial ratios, and credit analysis.Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Demonstrated experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, office-based environment.Effective communication skills.High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
