General Accountant

Job Purpose:The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to the financial services industry.

The role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:Record and maintain daily accounting transactions and journal entries.

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Support the preparation of tax and regulatory filings.

Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and payments.

Assist with audits and provide required documentation.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Assist in recording and monitoring factoring transactions.

Follow up on client settlements and collections.

Support portfolio reconciliation and reporting activities.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 0–2 years of accounting experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries.

Ability to perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.

Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software is a plus.
