Head of Quantity Surveyor - Head office

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Head of Quantity Surveyor Engineer to lead and manage all quantity surveying activities at the head office level.

The successful candidate will oversee cost management, tendering, budgeting, contract administration, and commercial control for multiple construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with company standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise the Quantity Surveying department and provide strategic commercial guidance across projects.Review and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.Oversee tendering processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and final accounts.Ensure proper preparation and review of BOQs, estimates, and payment certificates.Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and procurement teams to maintain cost control.Analyze project risks and implement cost-saving initiatives.Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.Prepare commercial and financial reports for top management.Support the CEO and senior management in strategic planning and decision-making.Mentor and develop the QS team to improve performance and technical capabilities.

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field.15+ years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial management within the construction industry.Previous experience in a managerial or department head position is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.Strong communication and reporting skills.
