Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems, policies, procedures, and standards tailored to heavy industry environmentsEnsure full compliance with all relevant local, national, and international HSE regulations, legislation, and permitsDesign and deliver specialized HSE training programs for employees and contractors, focusing on high-risk environments, safe work practices, and emergency responseLead and manage a team of HSE engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring effective program implementationPlan and conduct regular HSE audits and inspections across all work areas and equipment to ensure compliance and identify non-conformitiesLead investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses using root cause analysis to prevent recurrenceDevelop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans for potential incidents such as fires, explosions, chemical spills, and equipment failures
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering / science only.Experience: Minimum of more than 10 years of progressive and demonstrable experience in HSE management within a heavy industrial sector (e.g., mining, oil & gas, metals processing, power generation, heavy manufacturing, home appliances).Experience in managing significant HSE risks is essential.Certifications: Advanced professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP associated safety professional, NEBOSH diploma preferred.NEBOSH IGC – NIOSH – OSHA general industry – Risk management.Skills:Expert knowledge of local, national, and international HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices relevant to heavy industry.Advanced understanding of risk management methodologies, including HAZID, HAZOP, and fault tree analysis, applied to high-hazard environments.Proficiency in HSE management software and data analysis tools.Extensive knowledge of emergency response planning and execution for Featured Jobs.
