Junior Finishing Architect

Key Responsibilities (Technical & Site)

Daily Supervision: Monitor on-site finishing works (flooring, painting, ceilings, and cladding).Shop Drawings: Review and prepare detailed architectural shop drawings for execution.Quality Control: Ensure all finishes meet project specifications and approved aesthetic standards.Quantity Surveying: Calculate material quantities (BOQ) and track material consumption.MEP Coordination: Align architectural finishes with electrical and plumbing installations.Material Inspection: Verify that delivered materials match the approved samples.Progress Reporting: Submit daily reports on work completion and site issues.

Key Skills Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD (Essential) and Revit/SketchUp (Preferred).Attention to Detail: Precision in checking alignments, levels, and final touches.Material Knowledge: Understanding of finishing materials (marble, wood, gypsum, etc.) and their installation.Time Management: Meeting deadlines for different finishing phases.

Qualifications Degree: B.Sc. in Architecture OnlyExperience: 0–3 years in site finishing works.

Educational BackgroundBachelor’s Degree in ArchitectureRegistration with the National Syndicate of Engineers (if applicable).

Technical Software SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD: (Essential) for reviewing and editing 2D shop drawings.3D Modeling Tools: Basic knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or 3ds Max.Microsoft Office: Especially Excel for material quantities and tracking.

Site & Technical KnowledgeConstruction Basics: Understanding the sequence of finishing works (from masonry to final paint).Material Awareness: Familiarity with finishing materials (marble, ceramic, gypsum board, paints, and wood).Shop Drawings: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction details.

Soft SkillsEye for Detail: High precision in identifying defects or misalignments in finishes.Communication: Ability to relay instructions clearly to site laborers and subcontractors.Problem-Solving: Capability to handle minor site conflicts or technical obstacles.

5.

Experience & Physical RequirementsExperience: 0–3 years (Internships in finishing or fit-out projects are a plus).Site Mobility: Ability to work on-site, including climbing ladders or scaffolding if necessary.
